About
November 15, 2015NOTA BENE
For my IT Tips-n-Tricks (TnT), I’m not trying to re-write all of the guides one can find on the Interwebs.
For these “Tips and Tricks”, my goal is:
a.) to note the ones that work for as many OSes as I deal with on a day-to-day basis;
b.) to put a multitude of information all in one place for future reference and more in-depth reading; and
c.) to add commentary on what my setup needed to really make things work for me.
So, I apologize ahead of time if you think I’m just copying content from other sources. My intent was to help me find solutions faster based on past experiences. Generally, I need to find solutions quickly but I always have articles that I want to read about the technologies I’m working with. I sometimes have the luxury of reading them ahead of a fix but not every time. Most times, I’m familiar enough with what’s going on that I am usually okay proceeding after skimming over the highlights of what may be happening. Either way, my IT articles generally exist to replace the thousands of notes and tabs I find myself keeping a record of.
